IF YOU ARE SAVED … BORN AGAIN that means you have admitted that you are a sinner, repented from sin and asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. We were all born into sin, so we are all born sinners. There is no one who is good. That’s why Jesus came, died and rose, so that we would not be condemned for our sins.
If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior then all your sins have been forgiven and you have become a child of God.
THE QUESTION: IF YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, ARE YOU TRUSTING JESUS?
If you trust him then there is a reason to hope, a reason for joy, a reason for peace. If you trust him there is nothing that you’re going through that God won’t help you through. God knows about your circumstances. He loves you the way you are.
DO YOU READ YOUR BIBLE EVERY DAY? If you don’t, how are you supposed to know that you are a conqueror … that you are loved. How are you supposed to know that you are an over comer? How are you supposed to know that you are forgiven? How are you supposed to learn to forgive as you have been forgiven. How are you supposed to know that when you forgive, you are freed from the burden that unforgiveness heaps upon your soul, body and spirit.
THE BIBLE SAYS:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29-30)
Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Colossians 3:13)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30)
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.(Romans 8:33-37)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13)
For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)
The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
IF YOU ARE NOT SAVED … BORN AGAIN, you must turn from your unbelief. Trust on the works that Jesus did for your sake; ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your life … to be your Lord and Savior. Only when this is done can you receive salvation and the joy of the Lord.
If you are not saved, then depression is understandable. If you are not trusting God, depression, worry, distrust, fear, confusion is understandable.
BUT, WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO STAY IN THAT STATE? It’s not for you. Trust in Jesus and rid yourself of shame, doubt, a sin nature, condemnation, distrust, hateful thoughts about yourself and others.
